John Gillespie, CPA, CFP®
With twelve years of investment and financial planning experience and twenty five years in accounting services, including tax, consulting, business planning, business evaluation, regulatory and management services, John brings extensive knowledge to the issues facing clients. He provides services to a broad range of investment clients having various individual needs. John also performs accounting services for industries, including real estate, oil and gas, retailers, service businesses, and telephone and electric utility companies.
John’s background includes graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. The Public Accounting Report has ranked the Accounting degree program at UT as the number one program in the nation. John worked in the field of accounting in the private and public sector before opening his own accounting firm, Gillespie Financial Services. Prior to the opening of Wealth Management Services of Austin in 2005, John provided wealth management services through an investment firm.
John is a Certified Financial Planner™ certificant 
. John also holds a Certified Public Accountant certificate from the State of Texas and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

John’s interests include golfing, boating and other outdoor activities.
